April 6, 2010 05:27 - How Do You Have a Great RV Boondocking Trip? Brake It!

Hey folks... How many times have ya'll been climbing a mountain pass... and smelled something awful? and said to your passenger... "Oops! Somebody is cookin' their brakes!" ... or followed somebody down a mountain... and wondered how long their brakes were gonna last... considering you hadn't seen their brake lights off in quite a while?

Our rigs are awful heavy... A person really should oughta give proper braking in their RV some considerable thought... even if you consider yourself an experienced RV Driver... a 'refresher course'... once in a while ain't a bad idea...

Here's a good article on proper Mountain Driving you just might want to print off and give to your friends... or that person who you just followed down the mountain, should you get the chance... or read a couple times yourself... so you remember?! :o)

April 11, 2010 08:52 - Check Out Your National Parks! Fee Fee Days!

Our Droid Phones may be paying for themselves! Heidi put an app on her Droid called "My Coupons"... and found some awsome offers for folks trying to be Frugal... but still LIVING! :o)

For instance... The Target stores are providing support for Art and Culture... and have a notification on there... where you can get 'discounted' or even Free entrance to more than 120 museums and other cultural organizaions 'cross the country... How cool is that?

... We hadn't a clue 'bout such things... 'till Heidi found it on her Droid Phone... with a Free App!

One of the things she found was a notification from the National Park Service... For Fee Free Days at the National Parks! Hoo! Ya!

From April 17th to April 25th something like a hundred National Parks are offering what they're calling Fee Free Days... they're waiving the entrance and several other fees... go to Their website to check it out... and find a Fee Free Park along the road you're traveling!

So... like I said in that post 'bout "Balance" in Frugal Living... We spent some dinero on our Droid Phones.. but those lil' tools... uh... and Toys... seem to be paying us back... big time! :o)

Take Good Care
Brian
